UGC NET EXAM PATTERN 2022

Today I am writing this post for the beginners who wants to make their career in Education field or go for higher studies specially for UGC NET/SET/JRF for the year 2022.
Firstly in this blog we focus on the UGC NET exam and discuss about the pattern and the syllabus for this exam which is conducted by the NTA(National Testing Agency)

UGC NET EXAM PATTERN:

The UGC NET Written Exam is Computer Based Test and it is subdivided into two parts. Paper I and Paper II will be conducted on the same day.
The Paper I will test the candidates on areas such as teaching and research aptitude. It will comprise of topics like reasoning ability, comprehension, general awareness, and divergent thinking.
Paper-II of the UGC NET is going to be subject-based. The candidates will be asked questions based on the subject they choose. The paper will be objective type.
⦁ The UGC NET question paper will be objective type.
⦁ The exam duration is of 3 hours.
⦁ The first session will be for Paper I, where it includes 50 questions for 100 marks.
⦁ The second session will be for Paper II. The question paper will include 100 questions for 200 marks.

UGC NET Pattern for PAPER 1 :
This paper is to assess the teaching and research capabilities of the candidates. the test aims to assess teaching and research aptitude as well. Candidate are expected to possess and exhibit cognitive abilities, which include Comprehension, analysis, evaluation, understanding the structure of arguments, deductive and inductive reasoning. The candidates are also expected to have a general awareness about teaching and learning processes in the higher education system. Further, they should be aware of interaction between people, the environment, natural resources and their impact on the quality of life.

⦁ Each question will carry 2 marks.
⦁ Paper I will be for a duration of 1 hour.

The UGC NET Paper I will be based on the above module. You can expect five questions of 2 marks each from the above modules.
The UGC NET Paper-II syllabus will be subject-specific. You can get the detailed syllabus for 81 different streams from the UGC NET Syllabus and therefore, plan your exam preparation strategy.

UGC NET Pattern and Subject list for Paper 2:
UGC NET Paper 2 will be based on subject-wise selected by the candidate. Paper-II will also consist of only 100 objective type questions (MCQs) for 200 marks. A total of 101 subjects will be covered in the UGC NET Exam. Candidates will have to select one subject for the NET Exam preferably the subject of their post-graduation.List of all the subjetcs below:
